 Statute of Limit. Precedent |
| Representation of Shoshanim Halls, a private Israeli company, in a large claim against Israel
Discount Bank Ltd. The District Court of Tel Aviv
rendered a precedent judgment confirmed by the
Israeli Supreme Court, whereby a bank customer may
sue the bank for inappropriate charges made by the
bank (including interest rates and miscellaneous
fees), despite running of the statute of
limitations (following more than 7 years since the
cause of action first arose) and despite notices
provided by the bank during the limitations
period. Michael Shachor, heads a special committee of the Israeli Bar assembeled for the adaption of amendments in the Israeli Statute of limitations.
